The controversy surrounding President Donald Trump’s alleged comments about Haiti and African countries during an immigration meeting on Thursday has continued to spread.

According to The Washington Post, Trump asked why people from “s**thole countries” were being allowed into the United States. He was referring to Haiti and countries in Africa, per the report.

Trump called the report “made up,” but Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) pushed back. Durbin, who was in the meeting, confirmed Trump said what the Post claimed.

But now, CNN’s Jake Tapper has weighed in. And Tapper, citing a source, claims to have a better idea of what took place.
